2020 Vision - A summary of 2019 activities and how they serve to help you and your business in the year ahead.
...I am reminded that we have built our business centered around you, our valued customer – strengthening the final mile of your home delivery service. We have worked to understand your inventory and securely move it from mid to final mile – at scale. Our processes encompass, warehousing and distribution, sortation, courier, and home delivery services, trimming turnaround times to within a few hours in many areas.

The poet Carl Sandburg couldn’t have summarized it any better. 2019 was to GO Logistics, what 1969 was to mankind – ‘One Giant Step’. It was the year that signaled we had arrived as a national leader, and I couldn’t be prouder.
What started as a distant dream in 2005, has now placed us side by side with Canada’s Fastest Growing companies, according to the annual Canadian Business magazine Growth 500 list, putting us among the Top 10 in Transportation and Logistics. This is a testament to the trust and faith you have put in us.
Locally, the Mississauga Board of Trade (MBOT) nominated us for consideration in the Employer of the Year and Business Innovation of the Year categories at their annual Business Awards for Excellence, where we competed with the likes of: Kellogg Canada, Hilton Hotels and SOTI Inc.
These accolades wouldn’t have been possible without our hard-working warehouse associates, logistics coordinators, management team and driver associates (DAs) who toil around the clock to deliver smiles every day.
We take immense pride in our growing team of DAs, ensuring they are properly trained and retained. By expanding on our GOLD program (GO Legendary Driver) with the What’s Your Score project, we were able to define and reward performance excellence across numerous categories.
This program served as a catalyst for high performance. When DAs were notified of the monthly gift cards being awarded, it went a long way toward increasing its popularity. The end result was an overall upgrade in service standards across the board. In December, our station in Markham was recognized as the top performing Delivery Service Provider among 7 candidates serving the client.
Building on growth momentum established in March when we launched a dedicated sortation facility in Mississauga, we opened our newest station in Cambridge in the summer to better serve the golden horseshoe region of Ontario.
Our Big and Bulky division saw growth as we met your white glove delivery needs. Having already served a range of trusted retailers including, Costco, Best Buy, and The Home Depot, we augment your team, extending the purchase experience into the home of your customers. This experience has helped us anticipate and go over and above the unique delivery requirements associated with white goods and high value items. With the addition of a new fleet of cargo vans and accompanying personnel, we have now reached over 1,500 employees, operating more than 300 vehicles.
By internalizing the needs of e-commerce retailers undergoing rapid business model changes online, we helped fuel this expansion, culminating in the launch of a new warehouse in Oakville that increases our storage capacity to more than 100,000 square feet. Overall, we sorted and delivered more than 8 million packages in 2019.
SAFETY AND PERFORMANCE
Motivation and safety are inseparable. All our vehicles have now been retrofit with speed and fuel governors that give our DAs a safe and fuel-efficient working environment. The governors installed, check idling and restrict the speeds to within permissible limits, ensuring the safety of drivers, fellow motorists, and pedestrians.
Helping with much needed awareness around mental health in Canada, we partnered with The Home Depot for The Orange Door Project. The Supply Chain Community Build and Foundation lunch was an effort to lead today’s youth away from the street and on a path to growth. We were happy to be among select partners, raising over $100,000 in the single day event.
The holiday season saw us continue our commitment to the Peel region Share the Joy program, providing at risk families with clothing and necessities. The mother of the family we sponsored this year was “over the moon thrilled” and so were we. This was, perhaps our most important ‘home delivery’ of the year.
As we enter a whole new decade, we look to make measured expansion across North America, the Caribbean and Latin America. This year more than ever, retail, e-commerce, and third-party logistics partners are seeking the extensive experience we offer in final mile home delivery.
